Haley likes where his team is going

BarrysKoolaid

Haley is heading on vacation for some nice, quiet down time with his wife and their five children feeling much more comfortable about his team than he did last year.

As a rookie NFL coach, Haley was thrown into the fire when he took over the Kansas City Chiefs in February 2009. He went through his own growing pains while trying to change the culture in Kansas City and get his players in better shape. The Chiefs lost a collective 700-plus pounds last offseason.

After a 4-12 season in 2009, the Chiefs have made strides this offseason. Haley has brought in Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel to coordinate his offense and defense, respectively, along with secondary coach Emmitt Thomas. Their credentials have left Haley very comfortable with his staff this year.

And so it begins, the OFFSEASON

BarrysKoolaid

This is where the real offseason begins Chief fans. The players have all officially went on vacation. After coach Haley gave them the last day of mini camp off, I can only imagine how fast the players made it for the airport.Good for them. They have been working hard, and they deserve it.

Today, on Chiefs live, I had a fan comment to me in the chat room. He said that he wishes that I would do everyone a favor, and delete my "copy and paste" website, and that it was a horrible site for Chief fans. Apparently when he visited, he didn't spend much time here, but his critsism of the website is fair. I can see how someone could make that assumption about  BarrysKoolaid.com, and we do copy and paste certain stories that we like to share no doubt. We do that, so we can all have discussions on said content. Make our own opinions on certain "stories".  Plus, the website is still fairly new, and I enjoy other stuff that I find on other boards that apply. Here's one thing the other sites DONT have. That's the players. We have had three current players already sign up, and that's somthing no other board can claim. This much, I am proud of, but the one thing that the critisism reminded me of, was that I need to keep the content flowing, and keep writing, so that's what I am going to do. Strive to be better, and start writing more content for the site. Less "copying and pasting"  foir all you smart asses who think you can do it better. My suggestion to you, is to shut the fuck up, and join the debate. Click above to keep reading------>

KANSAS CITY, Mo. Todd Haley admits he had only glanced at the new hardback sitting on his office desk. Not that Kansas City’s head coach could get much more out of The Five Dysfunctions of a Team than what he has already experienced firsthand. The Chiefs were among the NFL’s most backward franchises before Haley and general manager Scott Pioli arrived in February 2009. The struggles continued last season with a 4-12 record and 16th consecutive year without a playoff victory. Continue reading----->

There were times last year that the road out of Arrowhead Stadium was a crowded, angry place. Todd Haley made those trips in his SUV, surrounded by his family, the burden of Kansas City’s frustration on his shoulders.

Haley said Saturday that those drives were the most difficult part of last season, when the Chiefs went 4-12 and at times seemed lost. Discouraged fans lined the roadways after the team’s seven home losses as he left the staff parking lot. Continue reading ----->

17 new members today!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to say that there were 17 new members added to the site today. I'm only bringing that up because that's a one day record for me so far. Now, granted...Some of these are spammers. So just a quick rememinder, if you come here to spam only, I will delete your account. If you came here to post, welcome to the show. There are still some roles available. I guess Penguin isn't going to use Grover, so that's probably one of the best one's still. Vazza got Fozzy, that was a perfect match.
