A "Come to Jesus" with Bob Gretz

Ya know,...There is a fundamental difference between my writings, and those of BoB Gretz. That much is clear to any Chiefs fan right now. I am trying to help fill up the seats. ( Figuratively, speaking )

I do so by talking positive about this franchise. I do so by endorsing the moves made by their front office, and by reporting many, many positve stories that Kansas City Chief fans want to read. Enter Bob's most recent tuesday article. "Please, Less Kool-Aid"  ( Here, catch up )

CHIEFS SIGN THIRD-ROUND PICK OL JON ASAMOAH

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Thursday that the club has signed third-round draft pick OL Jon Asamoah.

Asamoah (6-4, 305) was the first of Kansas City’s two third-round picks (68th overall) in the 2010 NFL Draft. He played in 42 games (37 starts) at Illinois, opening every contest during his final three seasons. He was a second-team All-Big Ten selection as a senior and also received the 2010 Big Ten Conference Medal of Honor for his achievements on the football field and in the classroom.

Asamoah was a two-time first-team All-South Inter-Athletic Association Conference selection at Rich East High School in Park Forest, Illinois, earning all-state honors as a senior from the Chicago Sun-Times.

A Challenge to St. Joseph, Missouri

I have been speaking about this to many people lately. Especially now that training camp will not be held in River Falls, WI. I can only wonder how their economy will survive now that the Chiefs are gone. But the NFL is a business. And it's about money. As a fan first, I understand this, but I issue the following challenge to all small companies, restaurants, novelty shops, and businesses in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Stand out. Set yourselves apart. We understand that you await Chiefsnation, and the dollars they will bring to your community. But here at BarrysKoolaid, we are about building relationships.

Relationships that last. You scratch our back, and we will scrath yours. We would love to talk about your specials. Your Happy Hours. Your WiFi, and your 500 channels, Air conditioning, and prompt service.

I say stand out. Set yourselves apart.

This is a message from a very good size group, of season ticket holding, die hard, Kansas City Chief fans. The ones who pump the honest hard working dollars into this football team.  I would like to issue the following link to you at the end of this rant. A fluff piece making Chief fans out to be made of money. Which they arent. -------------->

For HIRE

Hello Everyone! Well,.. all is well in Independence, MO. I am so very excited to see Richard and Freddie. We have had ourselves a hell of a start, and I couldn't be more pumped. So, first things first!

Apologies to everyone at the soccer game last night. We really did make it outside the complex. Traffic was horrific, and there was no way we were getting into that stadium on time. Plus we had a good 500 miles of driving under the belts collectively, and Freddie, and Buddy were tired. So was I.-------->

Kansas City or BUST!@#$%^&**

Well, it's 6:30 in the morning, Sunday, July 25th. Today, I leave for Kansas City, then St. Joe for training camp. I look forward to bringing this website into the mainstream. I am looking forward to seeing Arrowhead in all of it's glory tonight when we stop by to see the Wizards upset the Manchester United.

So the computer will be off for a bit. Hit me up on my cell, or email if you need to get in touch. Go Chiefs!

Agent 28 prepares for next test in NFL

RAINBOW CITY — Former Alabama defensive back Javier Arenas expects to be in training camp with the Kansas City Chiefs when it begins in less than two weeks despite not having signed a contract.

The 5-foot-9 Arenas’ growth from little-known recruit to All-American and national champion is a true underdog story. Before Alabama came calling late in the recruiting process during Arenas’ senior year of high school in Tampa, Fla., his only other offer was from Florida Atlantic.

The Chiefs drafted Arenas in the second round of April’s NFL Draft. The team’s training camp begins July 30, and Arenas plans to be there to help his new team.

Some might say Arenas has to prove himself all over again, but he doesn’t see it that way. He’s just trying to be himself.

Can they start fast?

I personally feel that the Kansas City Chiefs had themselves an amazing draft. A much faster team will compete in St. Joe, Missouri this year for the Chiefs. A new home, after bidding a fond farewell to River Falls, WI.

Speed is the name of the game in the Todd Haley camp. Speed, and accountability.

With an improved staff this year, infused with relationships mold from the past, the Kansas City Chiefs find themselves at an interesting crossroads. These guys could win. In a year that will be jump started with Monday night madness on September 13, 2010. Chiefsnation awaits the company from San Diego.

Can they start fast?

Moeaki Inks Deal

Insider Blog: Moeaki Inks Deal

Moeaki is the third member of the Chiefs 2010 Draft Class under contract

Significant progress is being made across the league with third-round picks. Moeaki represents the 24th of 34 players chosen in the third-round to sign his rookie deal. If sandwich picks are any indication of a forthcoming agreement, the two players surrounding Chiefs third-rounder Jon Asamoah are already under contract (67th overall pick S Myron Lewis, Tampa Bay and 69th overall pick T Jared Veldheer, Oakland). We’ll be sure to keep you up to date when the front office confirms any rookie signings. With training camp report dates across the league quickly approaching, more and more high-round picks are agreeing to contract terms each day.
